Having grown up on their family farm in Suffolk, the Mayhew brothers knew a thing or two about the pervasive issue of sourcing trustworthy meat in the UK.
Factory farming has adverse impacts on animal welfare and the environment. Mass-produced meat products are also deficient in nutritional value.
With this in mind, the Mayhew brothers embarked on a mission to introduce their Biltong to the UK market, emphasising superior product quality and sustainable practices.

The insight guiding the branding strategy was that trust in the quality and origin were hugely important when it comes to meat products.
The idea was to create a brand that was a contemporary interpretation of traditional farming values. Drawing inspiration from classic design elements, the brand exudes a bold and steadfast conviction, resonating with consumers seeking authenticity and transparency.
Strategy-led design results in Visual Identity and Packaging Design staying fresh and relevant years later.

“Outstanding. When you find people like Field, it's what makes this whole game worth it. Creating the Ember brand from scratch through to how it is today. And many more years to come.”
